the Press - Issue 7 of the Lunds Brackets Catalogue for
Transportation Systems.
Issue 7 of the Lunds Bracket
Catalogue is now available for download. The catalogue serves the
needs of the London Underground service contractors, standardising
the use of hanging brackets throughout the network. We have
introduced a new range of budget brackets in this edition that we
call the "Contract Range". You can download the catalogue
Lunds acquire the assets of GRS
Engineering.
In April 2007 Lunds successfully
negotiated for the assets and goodwill of GRS Engineering Co.
(Sussex) Ltd,
in Ashington West Sussex. This has allowed us to expand our customer
base, add some new plant and increase our workforce. In
turn, this has improved our ratio of skilled personnel considerably
to make us more competitive and technically able to ensure the
future of the company.
ISO9001 accreditation is now part
of the Lunds Quality system.
In addition to our already robust
quality systems we have recently obtained ISO9001 certification.
This puts us in line with the ISO9001 standards and disciplines to
help us reach our goals of zero rejects and increased productivity.
Investment continues in cutting edge CNC plant with the purchase of
an Amada EM2510NT fully automated punching cell.
The Amada Astro 100
High Precision Robotic Bending System was installed in September
2005. A complete bending cell that includes an adaptive loading and
unloading mechanism and a fully featured offline programming system.
After some initial teething problems, we are proud to state that our
robot is fully up to speed and has become our most productive member
of staff!
In addition a more recent acquisition
is the EM2510NT Turret Punching System that includes a fully
automatic loading/unloading system. This allows us to run the
machine throughout the night with minimal supervision. See the Plant

Lunds buy into 3D design technology
To keep up with
current technology, Lunds have purchased from Parametric
Technologies Pro-Engineer Wildfire.
From our research into 3D
design packages Pro-Engineer came out on top and is rapidly becoming the
Industry Standard for engineering professionals.
We are able to exchange design information from all companies using
Pro-Engineer as their design tool and will of course still be able to
offer our unrivalled AutoCAD experience in the 2D design field.
Pro-Engineer also offers us
additional import and export facilities to other 3D design packages so if
you require direct file transfers for quotation or manufacture please
contact John Loveday our Design Manager who will be able to discuss the best

e2i by RADAN chosen for
Lunds in house system
e2i is an
estimating to invoicing system produced by RADAN specialising in the needs
of sheet metal orientated companies to be able to track jobs from the
initial enquiry through to delivery & settlement.
We have invested
in a floating licence for all systems on our network,
with links to our accounts dept. This system is now
fully initialised, and has helped to increase
our efficiency and with the addition of shop floor data capture will make
order & materials tracking easier. e2i is an integral part of our
ISO9001 quality system to help track any quality issues. |
