New unit Lunds is pleased to announce we have expanded into another premises. This building has 6000 square feet of additional space and gives us a dedicated assembly facility.
Our new robot welder
Lunds is pleased to announce our robot welder has been installed.The robot will be able to weld parts automatically to a high standard. The robot uses a Fronius TPS 400i pulse mig welding unit and a Fanuc Arc Mate 100id 8L robot arm along with a R30iC controller. Its capable of welding Ali, Stainless and Mild steel up to 3 metres in length. It can do from 3 amps up to 400 amps making it very versatile.
Our New Wood Router Has Arrived
Lunds is pleased to announce our new wood router has arrived at our Goring site and has been installed. This has been primarily bought for the manufacture of wooden cockpits for our simulation division. Any additional capacity will be used for local building contractors. Our New AMADA ENSIS -Rotary Index Fiber Laser
We have exchanged our faithfull FOll Laser for a faster ENSIS Rotary Index Laser. This will increase our output for both Sheet materials and for solid sections. The range of materials it is able to cut is also expanded to include molybdenum, titanium and other more exotic materials.The ENSIS has a smaller carbon footprint than the FOll, it’s power consumption is 90% less and there is no need for a CO2 assist gas.
Our Latest ISO Certificate
Following our audit from NQA we are pleased to announce that we have obtained our latest ISO9001:2015 accreditation. This certificate (1706) covers us through to February 2027.As part of our quality system this certificate gives our customers confidence that every sheet metal part that we produce will have been inspected to this high level.
3D Scanner Lunds has invested in a state of the art 3D scanner. This is a handheld device that creates high resolution 3D models of pre existing objects that will help streamline the inspection process, as well as an exceptional reverse engineering tool for lasering, routing and 3D printing.
